Simon Wolff's models

Without Simon's huge initial contribution to the APMA site with his photos, this site would not be what it is. Here's a small sample of his modelling work.

Pfalz DXII Toko Kit scale 1//72
Photos and Text: Simon Wolff

I used the kit markings representing an aircraft from a Bavarian Squadron 1918 Referred to photos of the example in AWM Canberra painted in Humbrol colours. First WWI aircraft since I was a kid.
Replaced bloody awful kit Lozenge with those from out of a microscale set. heavily modified the inaccurate shaped exhaust. Drilled out numerous holes located around the forward part of the cowling. Really nice kit and good level of detail.
I built this kit partly for sentimental reasons. As the photos I took of the Pfalz were on the occasion of the last day I was with my parents. We went up to the AWM and I pushed dad around in his wheelchair. So in a small way it is a memory of that last time out together.
